Spread the love

With the aim to provide an incredibly fast and immersive reading experience for Facebook users, the social networking giant at its F8 Developers Conference in San Francisco has announced a new route for publishers to reach out to their respective audiences in a much assertive way via Instant Articles.

It is a HTML5 document optimized for fast mobile performance, rich storytelling capabilities, branded design and customized visual display to make your stories come alive with custom styles and interactive functionality.

According to Josh Roberts, product manager at Facebook, “We’re also sharing new data illustrating how Instant Article is better for people and publishers, introducing a number of partnerships with publishing tools and analytics providers to support the publishing process, and sharing more detail on how branded content is supported in Instant Articles.”

Facebook claims that leveraging the same technology that is used to display photos and videos quickly in the Facebook app, Instant Article is better for people as well as publishers as it displays stories as much as 10 times faster than conventional mobile browsers, introduces a suite of creative tools that allow publishers to bring their stories to life in new ways, it allows publishers decide what to share on Facebook as they can automate their workflow by using an RSS feed or API.
