Microsoft is all set for its latest event which will be hosted in New York City, where in the tech giant will unveil its latest upcoming updates focused at its operating system. Microsoft had held a similar event last year during October, but this year’s event will focus less on hardware and will feature more on software, 3D usability and ingenuity. You could expect details that focus on the new Windows 10 software updates and might also see a new all-in-one Surface device.

The event is scheduled on October 26th at 10AM EDT (7:30PM IST) and you can catch all the live up event here.

Interesting things that the event will have is two major Windows 10 updates, where in the software giant will first send out its update in March next year, which is just a few months away. Microsoft as it is has been testing some new and interesting trackpad changes that lets Windows 10 users modify and manage gestures on trackpad. There is also a new ‘HomeHub’ that allows users to control smart devices.

At earlier event from Microsoft, we have typically seen the company launching laptops and tablets under the Surface brand name, but this time we could expect a brand new all-in-one device which could be one of the highlights and might also launch a machine that would take on iMac.

The invite of Microsoft features ‘imagine what you’ll do” that hints out more on creativity that the event will mostly revolve around. Talking of creativity, we could expect things beyond hardware, which would also include the new Microsoft paint app that was recently leaked, showcasing how the company has revamped the existing paint app. Designed with pen and touch friendly features, you probably could also create 3D design objects.

We could see ‘HomeHub’ as well that would smartly control internet connected devices. Rumors have it that the ‘HomeHub’ might work with Cortana that would take on the likes of Amazon Echo. Microsoft might also discuss on Windows 10 and Xbox cross-platform gaming efforts, as Microsoft will be launching its new Project Scorpio console next year.
