Besides, the Redmi 4, the company could also launch a cheaper version of the phone called the Redmi 4A. In the teaser, there is an image of the Redmi 4 which seemingly has a metal body and chamfered edges. The chassis of the phone also seems to be curved from the sides.
Hardware features wise, this phone is set to feature a 5-inch full HD screen and it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. On the back, it could have a 13-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash, a capacious 4,100mAh battery and a 5-megapixel shooter on the front. Earlier reports had indicated that a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, but seems like Xiaomi is going with a Qualcomm solution which can only mean good news.

The Redmi 4A could be a lower-end phone. It could have a lower resolution 720p 5-inch screen. This phone is said to be thinner and lighter at 140 grams and 8.5mm. This phone is expected to be launched in Rose Gold, Gold and Silver colours. Both devices will have microSD card support.
The launch of this phone comes as Xiaomi has just started selling the Mi Note 2 in China which was sold out in 50 seconds. On November 4, the company will also start selling the Mi Mix which is its concept phone and it has caught the imagination of the global media.
